Frequently asked
questions

Wallets, fees, security, the roadmap — the short answers, in one place.

What is MoonHydra?

+

MoonHydra is a Telegram bot that lets you trade Solana memecoins through up to 5 burner wallets ("Hydra Heads"). Routing goes through Jupiter v6 for best price across every Solana DEX. Future phases add sniping, copy trading, and MEV protection.

Is it safe to put SOL into a MoonHydra wallet?

+

Your private keys are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest with a master key the operator controls. We never log decrypted keys, never echo them back, and recommend you only fund Hydra Heads with amounts you are willing to risk — they are burner wallets, not vaults. Self-host the bot for full custody.

How many wallets can I have?

+

Up to 5 Hydra Heads per Telegram account. Use one for sniping, one for scaling positions, one for longer-term holds — whatever your compartmentalization strategy looks like.

Can I import my existing wallet?

+

Not in Phase 1. Importing private keys via Telegram is a phishing vector — we only generate fresh burner wallets in the MVP. Phase 2 will offer a guarded import flow with multi-step confirmation.

What fees does MoonHydra charge?

+

A 1% bot fee per trade, paid in SOL, automatically routed at swap time. No subscriptions, no monthly minimums, no deposit fees. You always pay the standard Solana network priority fee on top.

How fast are trades?

+

Buy and sell transactions typically confirm in 2–5 seconds depending on Solana network conditions and priority fee. We default to a 100k µLamport priority fee — tune higher in /settings for hot launches.

How does sniping work?

+

Phase 2. MoonHydra subscribes to Pump.fun and Raydium pool-creation events via Helius WebSockets. When a launch matches your filters (dev-buy size, social presence, liquidity threshold), the bot auto-buys with your configured size and slippage.

How does copy trading work?

+

Phase 2. You subscribe to a target wallet. When that wallet buys or sells via a tracked DEX, MoonHydra replicates the trade on your chosen Hydra Head with size-scaling (e.g. 10% of the original size) and per-trade max caps.

What about MEV / sandwich attacks?

+

Phase 3. Trades will route through Jito Block Engine bundles with a configurable tip. Sandwich bots cannot front-run bundled transactions, so your slippage stays tight on volatile launches.

Can I use MoonHydra without Telegram?

+

Not currently. Telegram is the only interface in Phase 1 and 2. Phase 3 ships a web dashboard at moonhydra.com for power users — view positions, configure copy-trade targets, manage limit orders.

What chains are supported?

+

Solana only in Phase 1 and 2. Phase 3 adds Base and BSC support with chain-aware wallet generation and per-chain routing.

Who runs the bot?

+

MoonHydra is operator-managed. A single team runs the Telegram bot, the Helius RPC subscription, the Postgres + Redis backing store, and the hosted infrastructure. Funds are non-custodial — each user has their own AES-256-GCM-encrypted keypair, never pooled with other users — but the operator does maintain the master encryption key that decrypts each wallet only at swap time.

How do I get support?

+

For now, use the /help command inside the bot. Phase 2 introduces a community Telegram group and a dedicated support handle.
